Ben, Sid and Roy

I came home from yesterday morning from a party and found a bird cage sitting on my desk. I had no idea where these three parakeets had come from so I texted Andrew to see if he knew anything. He had gone to the pet store with some friends and decided when he saw these birds that he was going to bring them home. We finally named them Ben (blue), Sid (green) and Roy (white). While they were very scared of  hands in their cage, and are still a little timid, they will let me touch them and I can even get them to hop on to my finger for short periods of time! Ben is getting really good at hopping on even though he only stays on my finger for a little while before hopping off. Roy really likes to be petted and will let me rub his tummy. Sid is still pretty skeptical of the whole situation but we have gotten him to hop up. I never really had a pet other than dogs in my life so these birds are pretty cool :) I can't wait until they get really good at perching on my finger so we can let them out to fly around a little :)
