Halloween

I think that this is the first Halloween costume that I remember. If you can't tell... I am a Barbie. When you picture a Barbie costume now, I guess you would picture something much... sexier...or something. I thought it was awesome at the time, and maybe the person that created this costume did too. When I look at the photo now I have to laugh. You have to admit that it looks a  little creepy. So many of the costumes that were in stores when I was little included a plastic mask and a plastic body covering...thing that basically had the name of what you were. I remember the smell of those masks and how they made your face get really sweaty so I had to hang it by the fireplace to dry. I was reminded of my plastic Halloween mask wearing days when I had to be in the Haunt working at Valleyfair. It was almost the same except the mask I wore then was big and rubber and more sweaty and less visibility. I loved Halloween then, but this time, wearing a costume was different. I might have hated it because I couldn't see a thing through the mask and the fog and ran into things getting many bruises on my legs. I tripped over people and couldn't get the hair out of my eyes in my sweaty rubber mask. I also might have hated it because I walked up and down the path by the clock, counting down the minutes until I could be done. I had also been thinking about how as soon as I got done with this awful task, that I would be able to go and see Matt :)

Other costumes that I remember were Thumbalina and Garfield... after that I don't remember being anything but a witch in a witch had and a black, plastic cape.
