My Grandma and Grandpa gave me a great big wooden doll house! This was way before doll houses were made of plastic in all sorts of colors, with working lights and sounds. All of the pieces were put together by hand. The roof had shingles and all of the furniture was made of wood too. I never really had any dolls that were the right size to the doll house so used dolls of varying sizes or I just skipped the dolls altogether and rearranged the furniture and pretended that there were people living inside. I probably talked to myself out loud a lot.
